Welcome Parents!

Through the Fitness for Kids Challenge and PLAY 60 Challenge, the Independent Health Foundation and Buffalo Bills are working with area schools, to implement healthy activities in the classroom. As parents, you play an important role in helping to support your kids in living a healthy lifestyle at home. Help keep the momentum going from our programs with the help of the fun activities we've provided below!

Come up with your own activities or use the 9-5-2-1-0 goals to inspire you!










  • 9 hours of sleep a night
  • 5 or more servings of fruits and veggies
  • 2 hours or less on the computer/video games/TV
  • 1 hour or more of exercise
  • 0 sugary drinks like sports drinks and soda pop


Activities to help your kids understand the importance of nine hours of sleep!

Activities to help your children limit TV watching or computer use for fun to two hours or less each day!
Challenges to help your kids aim for one hour of physical activity each day!

Scavenger Hunt

When you visit the Buffalo Zoo this year, go on our Scavenger Hunt and walk 1,145 steps while visiting the animals!
